It would be a much better workflow for managing text boxes. It's a fixed width and the text is automatically wrapped at the right margin the way pretty much every text editing program works. I'd like it to work exactly like this comment area. There isn't a 'group objects' or 'align all' type command to simplify this step. In word processing, Web browsing and digital publishing, the term text reflow refers to when the text in a document automatically shifts to fit the page. It's pretty awkward trying to stack all the text boxes vertically on the time line and you have to adjust all of them equally to change the overall text width column. Using a different text box for each line or paragraph works visually, but it's a pain to manage. When the text box is resized, it does reflow the text but the embedded carriage returns keep the text incorrectly formatted in the newly sized text box. However, editing the contents of a text box means constantly fiddling with manually adding & deleting carriage returns. But with the same master spread and the same jsx-script Indesign Server does not - the last page is number 4 and it has overset text. Also, when juggling the Smart Text Reflow preferences turing on and off Delete empty Pages document has just started gradually adding empty pages one. Since the text box automatically widens to accommodate the text, I have to enter a carriage return to start a new line. People with low vision typically enlarge the text to read the content on the screen. With activated smart text reflow in the master spread document CS4 client automatically adds new pages to avoid overset text. Let's say I'm trying to put a multi-paragraph block of text on the screen using a single text box. Can I reflow text between pages I need to delete some text boxes at the start of an 8-page pdf, then move all the other text boxes throughout those pages. Entering multiline text or multiple paragraph text is a PITA.
